Just as Bieber’s fans’ heartbreak over canceled meet and greets is subsiding, a new group of fans are feeling the same pain. Earlier this week, Drake fans who had purchased a $1,000 meet and greet package for his tour later this year received news that the meet and greet portion of the package has been canceled.

The 6 God meet and greet package included a photo op with Drake, a ticket in the first 5 rows, and a variety of merchandise. Fans who purchased this bundle still get to hold onto the ticket and merchandise, but they lose the meet and greet. Instead, they’ll receive a $300 refund.
An e-mail sent out to fans explains the situation and blames the canceled meet and greets on scheduling conflicts, although sources are saying that the decision might have something to do with Christina Grimmie’s tragic death. Christina Grimmie was a singer who was shot and killed at her concert earlier this month while meeting fans and signing merchandise after the show.
Justin Bieber canceled his meet and greets earlier this year aswell. He explained himself in an Instagram post, stating that the sessions left him feeling emotionally drained and exhausted. At first, his camp offered no type of refund unless fans wanted to refund their entire package, thus losing out on their pit ticket. But after backlash from angry concert goers, his team allowed ticket holders to keep their seat and receive a partial refund.
Fans are still waiting for Drake to comment on the situation and hopefully give them a bit more insight on the reasoning. Until then, keep an eye on CelebMix to keep you updated!
